Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Anatoliy Konovalov, the developer of Crunchy ("we", "us"), about using the Crunchy app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Crunchy is not veterinary care

Crunchy gives general information. It is not a veterinarian and does not diagnose, treat or replace professional veterinary advice.

• Food checks are produced by an AI model from a photo. They can be incomplete or wrong — for example, if the photo is unclear, the product contains ingredients that aren't visible, or your pet has conditions the app doesn't know about.
• Articles, facts and stories are written for general education and may not fit your pet.
• Reminders depend on your device's settings and can be delayed or missed. Don't rely on them alone for critical medications.

Always ask a veterinarian before changing your pet's diet or treatment. If you think your pet ate something toxic or is unwell, contact a veterinarian or an animal poison control service right away.

2. Who can use Crunchy

You must be at least 16 years old. You're responsible for your account: keep your sign-in details safe and tell us at support@crunchypets.app if you think someone else has used it. Give accurate information when you sign up.

3. Your content

What you add to Crunchy — pet profiles, photos, records and documents — stays yours. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display it only to provide the Service to you, including sending food photos to our AI provider for analysis. Only add content you have the right to share, and don't upload anything unlawful.

4. Free features and Premium

Some features are free, with limits — for example, a number of free food checks per period. We may change free limits and which features are included in the free version and in Premium.

Subscriptions

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the Apple App Store. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and is charged.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we can't issue them ourselves.
• If we change the price, Apple will notify you as required, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:

• try to get around free limits, security or access controls;
• use the Service to send automated requests, or copy or resell its content or AI results;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• interfere with the Service or other users, or use it for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

6. Our content and the app

The app, its design, articles, illustrations and other content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the App Store rules. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on others, such as Apple, Google, Firebase and our AI provider, and may link to other websites or show places from maps. We're not responsible for their services or content.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Crunchy at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deleting the account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings. We may stop offering the Service or any feature; if we shut down the app, we'll tell you in advance where possible.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that its information — including AI food checks — is accurate, complete or suitable for your pet.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for harm resulting from relying on information in the Service instead of a veterinarian's advice. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you're not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts.
